Love to Learn Camp for Kids
We are starting a new camp that will be both fun and educational. We welcome all school aged children who are participating in virtual learning, homeschooling, unschooling, etc. Our goal is to give children a safe place to learn and socialize. This camp will be run by PA state certified teachers who all have updated clearances.
We will provide lessons across all subject areas and adapt the lessons to meet the levels of the children in attendance. We would like to create lessons and activities based on the interest of the children. Therefore, the first week we will do some introductory activities, get to know one another, and have some fun. If you are interested in signing up for the camp, we would love to hear what your child is interested in. We would love to teach a unit on butterflies and allow the children to observe the life cycle. We will do art projects, science experiments, STEAM activities, reading and research projects, math activities, and so much more!! To register, please call Jessica Mascara at 724-787-9341 or email her at livelaughplayandlearn@gmail.com. We will perform temperature checks daily and children will be required to wear masks. Limited space is available due to our limited capacity restrictions. Children will pack their own lunch and snacks. Parents/Guardians will fill out a contract prior to the first day that will inform us of emergency contacts, allergies, etc. You do not need to commit to every day that is currently scheduled. You can pick the dates you would like your child to attend. We just ask that you sign them up and pay 1 week in advance for staffing/scheduling purposes. We will need at least 4 children to attend per day to hold the camp. The cost is $40.00 a day for 1 child in a household who commits to one day per week. If your child is coming both Tuesday and Thursday, the cost will be reduced to $35.00 a day. We look forward to hosting this camp!! The camp will be from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting February 9th through May 27th.
Elementary Day Camp
We are hosting our elementary day camp again in February every Monday & Wednesday. We will try to accommodate and add more days if schools decide to close again. There will be AT LEAST one PA state certified teacher there daily. All employees have updated clearances.
Children will bring their school materials and a certified teacher will help them complete their assignments. They will also have the opportunity to socialize and participate in unstructured play. We have a variety of toys, games, arts and crafts, Legos, sensory bins, etc. We have a variety of educational materials to help your child complete their school work (play money, counting cubes, white boards, rulers, etc.). We also have a fully stocked library to accommodate all reading levels. Children are required to bring their own lunches/snacks. Please inform us of any allergies your child may have.
We will utilize multiple rooms to ensure social distancing. We will also follow all CDC and state guidelines. Temperature checks will be done upon entering and temperatures must be below 100.4.
This camp is perfect for children in grades kindergarten through fourth. The cost is $40.00 per day. If you commit to multiple days in a week or have multiple children attending from the same household, we will offer a discount. We will accept cash or check. If you pay by credit card, a 4% service fee will be added. No refunds will be given unless we close due to the pandemic or your school district changes its plans and you are no longer able to attend our day camp.
